 Drugs Don’t Work in NJ to Host Members’ Webinar Addressing Marijuana in the NJ Workplace Q&A Webinar

 

MILLBURN, NJ — New Jersey voters have approved the recreational use of marijuana for adults. New Jersey business leaders who are interested in maintaining a safe, healthy and drug-free workplace are invited to participate in the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey’s (PDFNJ) FREE Members’ Webinar:  Marijuana in the New Jersey Workplace – What Now? scheduled for 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2021.

The webinar, hosted by PDFNJ’s workplace prevention program, Drugs Don't Work in NJ, will examine the challenging situation that business owners may be facing due to the legalization of marijuana through a Q & A session with a panel of experts. Drugs Don’t Work members will be given the opportunity to submit any questions in advance and during the presentation.

The panelists will include, Stephen E. Trimboli, Esq. Trimboli & Prusinowski, LLC, who has been

recognized as a Best Lawyer in the area of Employment Law, a New Jersey Super Lawyer; Lauren J. Marcus, shareholder for Littler Mendelson P.C., who represents and advises employers in various aspects of employment law; and Brian Pete, Esq, Partner of Lewis Brisbois, who has significant experience in navigating the complex array of federal, state, and local employment laws.

“New Jersey business owners have a lot to navigate regarding the new marijuana laws in New Jersey and how they affect their workplace,” said Angelo Valente, Executive Director of PDFNJ. “This webinar can help them address any questions they may have.”

Representatives from small, mid-sized, and large businesses, human resource managers, compliance and safety experts, government and union representatives, and not-for-profit executives are invited to attend.  Those interested in participating in the free webinar can register HERE.
