Synthetic Marijuana Sent 11,000 People to Emergency Rooms in 2010

More than 11,000 people ended up in emergency rooms after using synthetic marijuana in 2010, according to a new government report. Most were teenagers and young adults, USA Today reports.

NJ Div. of Consumer Affairs’ Ban on Synthetic Marijuana is Now Permanent

NEWARK – Attorney General Jeffrey S. Chiesa today announced that New Jersey’s comprehensive ban on all variants of synthetic marijuana is now permanent, under a regulation formally adopted by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.

The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey (PDFNJ) and Sheriffs’ Association of New Jersey (SANJ) held the third annual The American Medicine Chest Challenge –New Jersey (AMCC) --- a public health initiative to raise awareness about the dangers of prescription drug abuse, throughout New Jersey, on Saturday, November 10, 2012.

The American Medicine Chest Challenge (AMCC) --- a public health initiative to raise awareness about the dangers of prescription drug abuse will provide an opportunity for residents to dispose of their unused, unwanted, and expired medicine at collection sites throughout New Jersey on November 10, 2012.
