The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey is inviting high school students to submit original songs about substance use prevention for the 2019 New Jersey Shout Down Drugs contest through Feb. 1.

The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey is inviting high school students to submit original songs about substance use prevention for the 2019 New Jersey Shout Down Drugs contest through Feb. 1.

Judges will select one finalist from every county, along with a few wild card contestants, to perform their songs in the 15th annual Prevention Concert at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, Middlesex County, on May 10. The top vote-getters online also will earn a spot in the concert.

The winner will be announced at the end of the concert and will receive a $5,000 music contract. Second- and third-place performers will receive $3,000 and $2,000 music contracts, respectively, with the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey.
