Drugs Don’t Work in NJ to Host Members’ Annual Webinar Focusing on Marijuana Legalization’s Impact on the Workplace

MILLBURN, NJ — Following New Jersey voters’ approval of the recreational use of marijuana for adults last month, all New Jersey business leaders interested in maintaining a safe, healthy and drug-free workplace are invited to participate in the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey’s (PDFNJ) FREE Annual Members’ Webinar:  Marijuana in the New Jersey Workplace scheduled for 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

The webinar, hosted by PDFNJ’s workplace prevention program, Drugs Don't Work in NJ, will examine the recently passed referendum legalizing the use of recreational marijuana in the state and how it will affect the workplace.

Nancy N. Delogu, Esq. of Littler, Washington, D.C, a nationally recognized authority on federal and state drug-free workplace and drug testing issues, will be the featured speaker. Her presentation will focus on the recreational and medical use of marijuana, how to revise your drug free workplace policy and procedures, drug testing for marijuana and impairment, as well as other work-related performance issues.

“Now that the recreational use of marijuana has become legal in New Jersey, it is important that business owners be well-informed on how to navigate through this new territory,” said Angelo Valente, Executive Director of PDFNJ. “Medical marijuana use among New Jersey residents continues to rise, and it is vital that business owners have a comprehensive drug-free policy plan in place.”

Representatives from small, mid-sized, and large businesses, human resource managers, compliance and safety experts, government and union representatives, and not-for-profit executives are invited to attend.  Those interested in participating in the free webinar can register HERE

Following the webinar, all participants will receive follow-up information to help adjust their policies and procedures in accordance with any changes taking place on this issue, thereby becoming members of Drugs Don’t Work in NJ. All programs and services provided in this program are FREE of CHARGE.
