Former NFL Quarterback Ray Lucas Returns to Alma Mater & Shares Story of Overcoming Opioid Addiction

PISCATAWAY, NJ — Hundreds of high school athletes from throughout the state received an education on the risks of prescription opioids from former NFL quarterback Ray Lucas at Rutgers University on Wednesday. The event was part of the Knock Out Opioid Abuse initiative, a program created by the PDFNJ and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, in collaboration with the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA).
