Atlantic Health and Lawrence Cooper to Be Honored at Angel of Hope Gala

Atlantic Health and PDFNJ Trustee Lawrence Cooper will be honored at the PDFNJ 32nd Angel of Hope Gala on April 29 at Liberty House in Jersey City. With this year’s “A Night in Havana” theme, the evening will celebrate people and organizations making a real difference in the efforts to protect families from substance use disorders.

Atlantic Health is being recognized with the Angel of Hope Award. Their leadership has helped educate both patients and clinicians about safer prescribing practices and effective non-opioid alternatives. Just as important, Atlantic Health continues to support individuals and families through quality treatment options, outpatient programs, and strong community partnerships. Their work reflects the kind of thoughtful, compassionate leadership we need as we continue addressing the opioid crisis across our state.

PDFNJ Board Member Larry Cooper, a resident of Livingston, will receive the J.P. Miele Lifetime Achievement Award. Larry has been part of PDFNJ for over 30 years since its inception in 1994, and his steady leadership, public service, and long-standing commitment to our mission have helped shape the organization into a leading voice for prevention and saving lives in New Jersey. His dedication over the years is a reminder of how much impact one person can have when they stay committed to helping others.

We’re also grateful to Elaine and Steve Pozycki for serving as Angel of Hope Gala Chairs and for their continued support of our work. The Angel of Hope Gala is always a meaningful evening, and this year’s honorees truly represent the collaboration, care, and commitment that make New Jersey stronger.
