One Month Left for High School Musicians to Shine in "Your Song! Your Voice!" Competition

Calling all high school musicians in New Jersey—there’s just one month left to enter the Your Song! Your Voice! Shout Down Drugs competition!

If you (or a student you know) love writing music and want to use your talent to spread a positive message, this is your chance. The challenge? Create an original song about substance use prevention and healthy choices. Whether you’re into rock, hip-hop, jazz, or R&B, all genres are welcome!

Why enter? In addition to the chance to inspire others, the grand prize includes a $5,000 music contract, and the winning song will be shared throughout New Jersey over the next year, reaching hundreds of thousands of listeners.  Finalists will have their songs featured in a virtual concert hosted by 95.9 WRAT’s Jimmy Steal, where an expert panel will choose the winner.

This competition, now in its 21st year, is run by PDFNJ and sponsored by the New Jersey Broadcasters Association (NJBA) and 95.9 WRAT.

But don’t wait—the deadline to submit is Thursday, March 20, 2025! Encourage the talented teens in your life to enter and make their voices heard.
